2008 10/08/2008- MAYAGUEZ, Puerto Rico, October 8, 2008 — W Holding Company, Inc. (NYSE: "WHI") , the financial holding company for Westernbank Puerto Rico, today announced that the New York Stock Exchange, Inc. (the “NYSE”) has granted the Company’s request for up to an additional six-month trading period extension for its common stock, subject to reassessment on an ongoing basis.

2007 12/04/07 - MAYAGUEZ, Puerto Rico, December 4, 2007 — W Holding Company, Inc. (NYSE: WHI), the financial holding company for Westernbank Puerto Rico, confirmed today that the Company’s common stock has not been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange. While trading on the NYSE has been halted, the Company’s common stock continues to be actively traded on other markets, including the NYSE Arca.
